Small Female Dachshund Mix Lucy is a super sweet, friendly, quiet, black Standard Daschund cross with slightly longer legs, but with the typical body shape of a Daschy.
Lucy has the most amazing shiny black coat, that needs no effort to keep her that way. It seems to be very low shed.
Lucy is an excellent guard dog and will let you know if anyone is around. She barks at anyone she hasn't yet been introduced to but is not aggressive at all. Once she knows someone is family she accepts them very happily.
Lucy loves to curl up on the couch or bed with anyone and will stay there until you move
Lucy is four years old and is great with children. , other small dogs . Lucy is a little intimidated by dogs bigger than her Lucy is housetrained and used to living and sleeping inside. Lucy has excellent manners and walks well on a lead or harness. Lucy absolutely loves the car and will jump in ready for an outing if the car door is opened. Being black when she is curled up in the back seat its hard to see her and so she often ends up going for an unexpected outing .
Lucy has come from a home where she was left a long time and became lonely. We would like to find Lucy a home where someone is home more for her. We would also like Lucy to have a pal her size or smaller to play with and keep her company for when her family cannot be home.
Lucy does need secure fencing , preferably colorblind. as like a lot of dachshunds she is partial to having a bit of a wander.. When her foster carer is out Lucy stays inside
Lucy is deserved , vaccinated and lifetime registered and is in foster care in Hinton in the hunter valley near Mainland.
Lucy is a Favorited with her foster carers family especially the grandchildren
